Regensburg Catalog

More than 10 Regensburg libraries involved in the Bavarian Library Network (BVB), index their catalog data in the Regensburg Catalog. Together with the Institute for East European Law and the Hungarian Institute, the Institute for East and Southeast European Studies runs the library in the Research Centre for Eastern and Southeastern Europe. This joint library with around 340,000 media items is one of the most important libraries specializing in the countries of Eastern Europe. Almost the entire collection has become electronically searchable.

German Information Network ‟International Relations and Area Studies”

The libraries of 12 independent research institutions are involved in the joint German Information Network ‟International Relations and Area Studies” (FIV IBLK). The network's database is one of the largest databases of literature on social science in Europe and reflects the thematic priorities of the participating institutions. Since 1991, the Institute for East and Southeast European Studies has been mainly indexing essays from journals and edited volumes in the database. The library systematically analyzes 15 journals from Southeast Europe for this purpose. These bibliographical references are provided at IREON - The International Relations and Area Studies Gateway together with further bibliographical data and full texts.
