Chair for International and Monetary Economy, University of Regensburg and Director of the IOS until January 2017, Prof. Jerger had been a leader of the project “Migration and Remittances in Central Asia” sponsored by Volkswagen Foundation. >>

A historian and a specialist on Central Asia, Dr. Morozova has been promoting Central Asian studies at the IOS and internationally, for which she co-founded the International Unit for Central and Inner Asian Studies. >>

The IOS team is strengthened by Prof. Dr. Alexander M. Danzer, Professor of Economics at the University of Eichstätt, and Prof. Dr. Ira Gang, Professor of Economics at Rutgers University, New Jersey. Both are Research Fellows of the IOS and have contributed research to the project Migration and Remittances in Kazakhstan and Tajikistan.
