Alzbeta Mangarella studied Economics at the School for Advanced Studies in the Social Sciences (EHESS Paris, France) and defended her Ph.D. at the University of Paris Nanterre in 2016. During her studies, she visited the research centre CReAM at UCL, and the Economics department at the Leibniz University of Hanover.

Her research interests include labour economics, family, gender and social norms, as well as policy evaluation methods and a special focus on Central and Eastern European Transition.
